As we have learnt in recent times, there are many things beyond our control. However, how we react to these events will be the determinant of how our body responds and how excitable our nervous system becomes. 


If our body continually reacts in a heightened state to the things going on around us, not only will it affect our mental health but our physical health too. 


We need to teach our body to bend under the stress rather than break so that we can carry on and adapt to the changes around us. 


This seven-week course will teach you the art of mindfulness through short meditations both in the group session and as homework along with some mindfulness tasks. Mindfulness will allow you to focus on the present moment, it allows you to be fully aware of where we are and what we’re doing and not to become overwhelmed by what is happening around us or by what might happen in the future or by what has gone on in the past. 


This course currently runs over zoom. 


FAQ's

  • How long is the course?

    The course is 7 weekly one-hour sessions currently running over zoom.

  • Will I need any equipment?

    There is a printable workbook to accompany the course so access to a printer would be helpful.

  • Will I get homework?

    As with any new skill you will need to practise the art of meditation to get the best out of it.  You will receive a weekly email that will take you through a meditation and you will have a homework task that helps to reduce the business of the mind.
